As to wire fraud: Wire fraud continues to be a serious and prevalent issue in real estate transactions. If the firm is handling your transaction, you will NEVER receive wire instructions or be asked to send any sensitive information via an unsecured email. Before wiring any money, call the firm using contact information found from an independent source to verify any instructions received. Contact us with any questions before sending any funds.
